Double murder suspect involved in Fayetteville police standoff

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) — A 17 year old linked to a double murder in Fayetteville was arrested overnight following a standoff with police.

On Tuesday night, detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit went to a home on Pickerel Street to question Rashawn Javonte Hill about the death of a man and woman at the Cambridge Arms Apartments on Monday night.

According to WTVD, Isaiah Manuel Sampeur, 25, and Pamela Ann Coe, 40, were fatally shot during an altercation after answering the door to an unidentified suspect, according to investigators.

When detectives went inside Hill’s home to question him, authorities said they heard the sound of a shotgun being racked.

They said the suspect then fired a single shot as officers began walking down a hallway.

A detective then fired one round at the suspect. No one was injured.

Officers negotiated with Hill to surrender and arrested him.
