BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore City police officer is shot in East Baltimore. The investigation is unfolding by the minute.

The officer was rushed to Shock Trauma, where doctors employed life-saving tactics only used in Baltimore.
Doctors say the officer is in extremely critical, but stable condition.
Police say the officer was a bystander in the 1900 block of Belair Road. Someone fired shots into his personal vehicle. He was hit multiple times in the torso.
According to our media partner, The Baltimore Sun, investigators are working in the area around a black SUV.
