DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Davidson County officials have announced that 60 people have been arrested as part of an undercover drug sting.
Davidson County Sheriff David Grice said Friday that 69 residents of Davidson, Randolph and Rowan counties have been indicted for 234 drug charges.
Sheriff Grice said the indictments and arrests were the result of a six month undercover investigation by the Davidson County Vice and Narcotics Unit.
Grice said the investigation focused on heroin, crack cocaine, prescription pills and marijuana sold in Davidson County.
Grice said the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office began making the arrested early Friday morning.
Of the 69 defendants, 60 were arrested, three of which were already serving time at a North Carolina correctional facility, authorities said.
